Hi, I am JouL™ aka Julian FORNY a 37yo Creative Director living in Paris.
I am JouL a 37 year old Creative Director (but I’m sure you knew that already).
Whilst I have some print experience, and love doing it, my true speciality is online. Upon finishing high school in 2000, I joined the ‘Institut European Media’ program. This led me to my first graphic design job at Sriracha Sauce in December 2002, designing websites and developing Flash applications.
I then moved on to Graphic Designer – Multimedia Integrator for FNAC.com where I created a wide variety of intern communications newsletters and integrated around 1 million products. I then chose to increase my management and technical skills at Media Management, and I decided left to join the amazing Kryzalid, in Montreal, as a Web Designer.
As first international experiences go this was a revelation. In May 2007, I chose to return to Paris, becoming Art Director at Live Banner, where I worked on campaigns and site performance managing a close-knit team. In 2009, I once again went overseas to become a Freelance art director in Florida. In 2010, I led all online graphics at Cellfish Media Europe overseeing a team of 15 designer and producing more than 800 creations per year.
Since 2013, I’m lead all online acquisition graphics at DNXCORP overseeing a team of 10 designers and integrators, where my goal ‘s to increase the DNX marketing performance.
What Makes Me Unique
An excellent work ethic, the desire to always go above and beyond and exceeding client expectations have brought me to where I am today. I always like to have a strategy behind WHY and WHERE I place certain design elements and content. With nearly every project that I’ve worked on here (and with my previous company) I’ve been responsible not only for creation, but for conception as well.
I know that could make your design perform and be unique and I like a statistically modelled and optimised design to truly make your website deliver.
I’m a kind of ROIst Creative Director.
I grew up all over the Parisian suburbs. I like a wide variety of music and films as well as TV shows and I am eternally grateful to the person that invented peer2peer.
